Fuel Assistance 2018-2019

Note – Fuel Assistance helps to defray the cost of heat between November 1, 2018  through April 30, 2019   for eligible clients and is based on income.

SMOC can help....but Please don’t wait until you are out of oil. The Mendon Senior Center staff is available to assist with the intake of applications for Mendon families, senior citizens and individuals under the administration of SMOC (South Middlesex Opportunity Council).

If your gross household income falls within the approved limits listed below you may qualify for fuel assistance as well as discounts on electric and telephone bills. Call the Mendon Senior Center at 508/478-6175 to request an instruction checklist and to make a free confidential appointment. Outreach worker Janet Hubener is also available to provide home visits. Please note- anyone who is eligible for fuel assistance is automatically eligible to use the Mendon Food Pantry located at the center. The Pantry is currently open the first Monday of the month from 9:00 – noon.  Call for more information.
