Permits Are Required

Building permits are needed for:

• new homes
• additions
• renovations
• refinishing basements
• siding
• windows
• roofing
• chimneys
• demolition
• pools (above and in-ground)
• signs
• sheds (if larger than 200 square feet)
• wood stoves
• pellet stoves
• gas fireplaces and inserts.

You do not need a permit for a fence unless it is to be 8 feet tall or higher.

Inspections

Plumbing and gas inspections are done Monday through Friday. Call the office to make arrangements.

Electrical inspections are done on Tuesday and Thursdays after 3:30PM. Call the office to make arrangements.
