Overview
The objective of the Mendon Historical Commission is to protect and preserve the Town's cultural character and assets, be they archaeological sites, historic buildings, open spaces, landscapes, or historic districts.
The Mendon Historical Commission meets the first Tuesday of the month, and when needed. We meet in the Records Room (13 Main Street) at 7:00 P.M.
Note: If the Records Room is snowed in, the Commission meets in Town Hall.
The Commission has several ongoing projects:
- Restoration of the Olney Cook Artisan Shop (more below).
-
Cataloging historic documents in the Town Hall vault.
- We are developing a walking tour of Mendon Village (details to come).
